Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself at the start of your inquiry?
So far my ZIP has been quite interesting. My question, as you probably know, is what components make a realistic character? Well, one thing I would’ve told myself would be to spend less time on research and make my own path. At the beginning of my ZIP, I thought that there was going to be a structured way to go about designing my own, realistic character. So I ended up wasting a lot of time on research. Now, I’ve barely looked at the notes I’ve written. I’ve reshaped my notes according to my own tastes and I’ve paved my own path to make my own character. I’ve found that there’s no singular way to design your own character and during the winter break I’ve been rewriting my notes and editing them while creating my character, to try and narrow down the style that I found worked for me. Now, I’m super excited to show everyone the method that I’ve created!
